Injectable facelift (liquid facelift) adds volume to the aged face and visually corrects folds and wrinkles that develop during the normal aging process. Appropriate candidates for an injectable facelift (liquid facelift) include patients with mild to moderate aging changes in their faces.
An injectable facelift (liquid facelift) can be performed with one’s own fat or with any number of FDA-approved injectable products available on the market. These include Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, Sculptra, and several others.
In experienced hands, a liquid facelift is safe and leads to natural results. Injectable facelift lasts anywhere from 9 months to several years (depending on the injected set of products) or longer in the case of fat transfer.
Injectable facelift (liquid facelift) requires an advanced skill-set and experience from the facelift surgeon. Dr. Mashkevich is a UCLA-trained facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, with the experience of performing liquid facelifts in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and New York.
| This patient of Dr. Mashkevich underwent an injectable facelift around eyes, midface, and mouth regions. The result is a more youthful, natural, and pleasing facial appearance. |

Is computer imaging and simulation available for an Injectable Face Lift (Liquid Face Lift)?
Yes. During your consultation, we will take your photographs from different angles and use them to simulate how your face would look after a liquid facelift. You will have an opportunity to provide feedback during this process. Your precise plan will be formulated based on the changes you desire and are comfortable with.
How is the Injectable Face Lift (Liquid Face Lift) Procedure Performed?
Your facial skin is pre-treated with a topical anesthetic cream for improved comfort during the injection. Injectable products are also mixed with an anesthetic solution to diminish sensation during the injection.
A liquid facelift procedure may last anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour. The variability in time reflects individual differences and needs.
What is the recovery like following an Injectable Face Lift (Liquid Face Lift)? When will I be able to return to Work?
Most patients do not require any time off from work for a liquid facelift. Minor swelling and bruising may result following the injection, however these subside within 24-48 hours with icing. We take special precautions during the injection to minimize the potential for swelling and bruising.
Injections with one’s fat are typically more traumatic to tissues and may result in swelling and bruising that last up to 7-10 days. The trade-off with using one’s own fat is a significantly improved longevity of the procedure.
What about pain after an Injectable Face Lift (Liquid Face Lift)?
During the injection, you may feel slight discomfort. We take several measures to diminish pain, by using topical anesthetics and icing prior to your injection. After the injection, some patients may require over the counter pain medications, during the first 24-48 hours. Most commonly, pain medications are not needed following a liquid facelift.
