For patients with limited and well-defined aesthetic nasal concerns (such as a dorsal hump or asymmetry of the tip), a non-surgical treatment option is available. Facial fillers, such as Restylane, Juvederm, and Radiesse, can be used in the office setting to achieve an instantaneous correction of nasal contour, in as little as 15-20 minutes.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty requires a thorough understanding of nasal anatomy and facial fillers. Dr. Mashkevich is a UCLA-trained facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, who specializes in all types of non-surgical rhinoplasty and facial fillers.
Is Computer Imaging / Simulation Available for Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?
Yes. During your consultation, we will take your photographs from different angles and use them to simulate proposed changes to the shape of your nose. You will have an opportunity to provide feedback and help construct your “new nose” on the computer screen.
Does Insurance Cover the Cost of Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?
Rarely, non-surgical rhinoplasty may be used to expand the nasal airway, and may qualify for insurance coverage. In most instances, however, non-surgical rhinoplasty is used to correct aesthetic deformities of the nose.
How is the Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Procedure Performed?
Following an application of topical anesthesia, a small needle is used to introduce the filler material underneath your nasal skin. The discomfort associated with this step is minimal, and is similar to Botox injections.
What is the Recovery Like following Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty? When will I be able to Return to Work?
The recovery is instantaneous and you are able to return to work immediately. Mild swelling, if it occurs in the treatment area, tends to be imperceptible and resolves within several hours.
What about Pain after Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?
Pain medications are not necessary following non-surgical rhinoplasty.
